Location: Loxley House, Station Street, Nottingham, Hybrid Working

Contract: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full-Time 37 hours a week

Salary: £32,597 to £35,412

Are you passionate about making a lasting difference to the lives of care-experienced young people? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Personal Advisor to join our Leaving Care Service and support young people as they transition into independent adulthood.

As a Personal Advisor, you will build positive and trusting relationships with young people, providing practical, emotional and social support tailored to their individual needs and aspirations. You will manage a caseload of Children in Care and Care Leavers, developing and reviewing Pathway Plans, advocating on their behalf, and helping them access the opportunities and services they need to thrive.

Working closely with colleagues and partner agencies across housing, education, health, social care and the voluntary sector, you will play a key role in supporting young people to secure suitable accommodation, engage in education, employment or training, and develop the skills and confidence needed for independent living.

We are looking for someone with experience of working with young people, strong communication and relationship-building skills, and a commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for care-experienced young people. You will be an effective advocate, organised in your approach to case management, and able to work collaboratively within a multi-agency environment.

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

• You will hold a recognised qualification at Level 3 or above (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Health, Social Care, Children and Young People, Education or Community Support

OR

• You will have demonstrable experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals in a social care, education or community setting, including supporting development, independence and transition to adulthood.
