Pet Trading Manager - Salary £45,000-£60,000

This is a great role for someone with general insurance experience who enjoys working across teams to improve outcomes. You might be ready for a step up or looking to broaden your impact in a trading or product role.
A bit about the job:
You’ll help drive profitable growth across our Pet insurance channels. You’ll use insight to shape trading decisions, improve products, and deliver better customer outcomes. You’ll work closely with colleagues across pricing, underwriting, and operations. You’ll play a key role in delivering our Pet business plan and growth ambitions. You’ll be accountable for channel performance and continuous improvement.
- Drive trading performance through clear plans, data-led pricing, and underwriting actions.
- Own key commercial outcomes, including sales, conversion, premium growth, and retention.
- Define and deliver a product roadmap, testing new ideas to optimise performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, integrating customer insights into decision-making.
- Manage risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and support planning, budgeting, and business cases.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Experience in general insurance, ideally personal lines.
- Strong commercial awareness and data-led decision making with ability to turn insight into clear, practical actions.
- Experience influencing or managing financial performance.
- Strong communication skills with a clear, simple style.
- Experience of trading personal lines products (pet an advantage) direct or via Price Comparison Websites (or both).

- Starting salary between £45,000 and £60,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
