Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Band 3 Physiotherapy Technician to join our dynamic and supportive Medical Physiotherapy Team at Frimley Park Hospital.
In this rewarding role, you will work closely with physiotherapists to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care, supporting patients on their rehabilitation journey and helping them regain independence and function. You will be involved in a variety of treatments and interventions, both one-to-one and in group settings, tailored to meet the needs of patients with complex medical conditions.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress from a Band 2 position. Previous experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant or Technician within an acute medical setting is highly desirable

Main duties of the job
- Assist physiotherapists in delivering therapeutic interventions and exercises to patients.
- Following training complete assessments of routine new patients and safely discharge routine patients.
- Help to prepare treatment areas and equipment for physiotherapy sessions.
- Support patients with their mobility and exercise programs, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any concerns to the physiotherapist.
- Provide administrative support.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible patient care.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
- To work under the indirect supervision of Physiotherapists in providing a high standard physiotherapy service on the General medical ward
- After a period of training to work with a specified caseload, with no direct supervision of a Physiotherapist
- To participate in continued personal development and other departmental activities.
- After a period of time in post to deliver specific training to physiotherapy assistants and new technicians and assist the physiotherapist in training other non-qualified health care staff on the General Medical unit.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
- GCSE or equivalent qualification to demonstrate numeracy and literacy.
- Associate member of CSP.
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in an inpatient or outpatient setting in an acute hospital as a Band 2 Therapy assistant.
- Experience of working as a Band 3 Therapy Assistant.
- To have worked within an MDT.
Essential criteria
- Interpersonal skills to include concise and effective verbal and written communication.
- Organisational skills, good time management, ability to prioritise workload.
- IT literate.
- Ability to work single handedly with individuals or groups.
- Presentation skills.
