Power Platform Product Specialist

England, United Kingdom Full-time Posted 1 week ago

We are looking for a Power Platform Product Specialist to raise the technical bar within our Portfolio team. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who builds high-quality solutions across D365 Sales, D365 Customer Service and the wider Power Platform, and who wants to help elevate what our function can deliver.

You will sit at the centre of a clear delivery model. Our Delivery Analyst shapes well-defined work with clear acceptance criteria; our Microsoft Platform Engineer sets the architecture, standards and technical direction; and you turn that into robust, scalable and supportable solutions. You will work closely with the Engineer as their technical counterpart, sharing ownership of build quality and pushing our engineering standards forward.

You will automate the manual, integrate the disconnected, and use AI to work smarter. If you enjoy solving real problems for real people and take pride in solutions that last, this is a chance to make a visible difference across the firm.

We are open to considering applications for our offices in London, Cardiff and/or Manchester.

Key Responsibilities

Build

  • Design, develop and support solutions using Power Automate, D365 Sales, D365 Customer Service and the wider Power Platform.
  • Deliver technical customisation and extension work; automations, integrations and configuration that meet real business needs.
  • Build to agreed engineering standards; environments, ALM, security and integration patterns set with the D365 Engineer.
  • Write solutions that are scalable, maintainable and well-documented, not just quick to ship.
  • Contribute to peer reviews and help lift the technical quality of everything the team produces.

Support and Improve

  • Support and continuously improve our existing D365 and Power Platform solutions.
  • Investigate issues, find the root cause and deliver permanent fixes rather than workarounds.
  • Identify opportunities to automate, simplify and improve the experience for our users.
  • Maintain clear, current technical documentation and solution artefacts.

Collaborate and communicate

  • Work closely with the Delivery Analyst to turn well-shaped stories into working software.
  • Partner with the D365 Engineer to keep solutions aligned to architecture, standards and best practice.
  • Engage business stakeholders directly to understand the problem before building the solution.
  • Work effectively with our Microsoft delivery partner and other suppliers where needed.
  • Share what you know and help the wider firm get more from the Microsoft platform.

About you

You are a curious, hands-on builder who enjoys shipping useful things and improving them. You take pride in leaving something better than you found it, and you know the best solutions come from good engineering, good listening and good judgement.

Essential experience required

  • Strong, hands-on experience building with Power Automate.
  • Solid experience configuring and supporting D365 Sales.
  • Solid experience configuring and supporting D365 Customer Service.
  • A track record of building real, technical solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, and the drive to fix things properly.
  • Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A genuine interest in AI and using it to work more efficiently; for example, accelerating user story creation, test case generation, documentation and analysis.

Preferred experience

  • Power Apps (canvas and model-driven).
  • Power Pages.
  • JavaScript, APIs, plug-ins, custom integrations or other pro-code Power Platform development.
  • Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Experience of agile delivery.

Desired experience, however, not essential

  • Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
  • SharePoint.
  • Copilot Studio or AI Builder.
  • Experience in a legal or professional services environment.

Certifications

Microsoft certifications are desirable but not essential. You do not need to hold all of them, and we welcome applications from candidates who are actively studying towards them. Relevant examples include PL-900, PL-200, PL-400, MB-210 (D365 Sales) and MB-230 (D365 Customer Service).
