We are offering an exciting (0.4WTE) fixed term post for 8 months within the dermatology service, based at the Royal Free Hospital, where you will join a dermatology psychology lead. The post will offer you opportunities to develop clinical skills in a supported environment focused on managing inflammatory skin conditions within an MDT setting.
The dermatology service is an established and well-regarded specialist team treating the whole range of skin conditions, including alopecia, inflammatory conditions like psoriasis and also eczema.
You will also have access to the Trust's psychological support structure including access to specialist supervision groups, regular training events and collaboration with colleagues from the same profession.

The Post Holder Will
- provide psychological care of patients, consistent with the World Class Care values and objectives of the Trust, within the dermatology service.
- Provide psychological assessment and treatments, ensuring
appropriate.
- Provide formulation, advice and a consultation service on the
- Ensure patients understand the interplay between their disease and their distress.
- Work autonomously within professional guidelines and within the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures.
- Support the multi-disciplinary clinical and operational team to deliver integrated care, including consultation and training concerning psychological aspects of patient care and management along the dermatology patient pathway, and ensure that psychological aspects are addressed (where appropriate) in research, audit, policy and service development.
- Utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service as possible within the role.
