A highly regarded and long established regional law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor / Associate to join its growing Wills, Estate & Tax Planning team in Tunbridge Wells.

The firm has built a strong reputation across the South East for its high quality private client offering, advising high net worth individuals, families and business owners on complex estate planning, tax structuring and succession matters.

The Role: Private Client Solicitor

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established and collaborative private client team, working on a broad range of high quality matters while benefiting from an existing pipeline of work and strong client relationships.

You will play a key role in advising a sophisticated client base, while also contributing to the continued growth and development of the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising clients on a wide range of private client matters, including:
  • Wills, trusts and estate planning
  • Inheritance tax and succession planning
  • Lasting powers of attorney
  • Lifetime gifting and wealth structuring
  • Cross border estate and tax matters
• Acting for high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs, landowners and trustees
• Delivering commercially focused, practical advice tailored to clients' personal circumstances
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Supporting the ongoing growth of the private client team
  
  

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with strong experience in private client law
• Solid technical knowledge across wills, trusts, estates and tax planning
• STEP qualification (or working towards) is advantageous
• Strong client facing skills and ability to build long term relationships
• Commercial awareness with a proactive, solutions focused approach
• Collaborative and team oriented mindset
