Private Equity Associate (secondaries), 2-3 years PQE

London Area, United Kingdom Full-time Posted 2 weeks ago

We are working on a confidential mandate for one of the most established and respected private markets platforms in the world. The firm manages over $100bn in assets and has been a leading force in secondaries for more than four decades. We are not naming it here — but if you work in private equity or investment banking, you will know it well.

This is a rare opportunity to join the London-based PE Secondaries team as an Investment Associate.

The secondaries business is one of the most active globally — executing LP portfolio acquisitions, GP-led continuation vehicles, and complex structured liquidity solutions across strategies and geographies. Transactions typically range from $50m to $1bn+. The platform is growing, with new strategies being added that reflect where the secondaries market is heading next.

You will work across the full transaction lifecycle, supporting:

→ Evaluation and execution of LP and GP-led secondaries transactions

→ Financial modelling, portfolio analysis, and valuation of underlying PE assets

→ Due diligence on funds, portfolios, and sponsors

→ Transaction structuring and investment committee materials

→ Portfolio monitoring and performance reporting

→ Collaboration with senior investment professionals across global offices

Who we are looking for

→ 2–3 years in investment banking, private equity, or secondaries

→ Strong financial modelling and analytical skills

→ Exposure to PE funds, portfolio analysis, or complex transactions preferred

→ Strong academic background from a leading university

→ Detail-oriented, motivated, and comfortable in a fast-paced deal environment

Why this opportunity

→ A brand that genuinely opens doors — this firm is a market leader and that follows you through your career

→ Unmatched deal flow from one of the deepest GP relationship networks in the industry

→ A platform actively expanding into new strategies — join now and grow with it

→ Strong internal promotion culture — a significant proportion of senior professionals started as juniors here

→ London as a core hub for European deal activity, connected to a truly global platform
