Are you a commercially astute executive capable of driving a multi-million-pound EBITDA agenda across a massive national footprint?

My client is seeking a visionary Procurement & Supply Chain Director to lead the end-to-end supply-side performance of their UK & Ireland business. Sitting directly on the Executive Committee, this critical role bridges the gap between commercial strategy and operational execution.

This isn’t just an operational role. You will hold total spend ownership across both direct and indirect procurement streams, leading a tech-driven transformation for a high-volume, unattended retail network with over 16,000 points of sale.

The Mandate

• Total Spend Ownership: Lead overarching strategy across all Direct spend (beverages, core product lines, machinery, spare parts) and Indirect spend (GNFR, logistics, technology, corporate services).
• Supply Chain Transformation: Accelerate the shift toward a tech-enabled network, embedding telemetry, AI forecasting, and automated replenishment models across a vast, multi-site national estate.
• EBITDA & Margin Expansion: Act as a primary driver of gross margin improvement and working capital optimisation, directly influencing P&L outcomes through aggressive procurement leverage and indirect cost control.

What You Bring

• Executive Sourcing Leadership: A proven track record managing comprehensive procurement functions (both direct goods-for-resale and complex indirect spend) within FMCG, food service, automated retail, or route-based logistics.
• Commercial & Financial Rigour: Demonstrable success in driving structural cost reduction, expanding gross margins, and extending cash conversion cycles.
• Transformation Credentials: Experience navigating complex matrix structures or performance-driven, PE-backed environments.
• Inspiring Leadership: A history of building and mentoring high-performing, commercially focused teams.
