Procurement Lead
Summary:
The Procurement Lead will play a pivotal role in optimising the procurement processes within our engineering division in South Yorkshire. This position is essential for ensuring that our supply chain is efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the company's strategic goals. The successful candidate will lead procurement initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and contribute to the overall success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of materials.
- Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
- Monitor procurement performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in all procurement activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the engineering sector.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
