Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Production Support Engineer to join a fast-paced technology team supporting critical retail POS applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end incident and problem management, ensuring timely resolution within SLAs.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues across POS applications.
- Perform hands-on debugging of Java-based microservices and Swift POS clients.
- Analyse logs, trace service dependencies, and identify root causes of recurring issues.
- Manage change requests and provide production support during releases and upgrades.
- Collaborate with engineering and business teams to drive issue resolution.
- Prepare operational reports, handover documentation, and incident analysis.
- Support critical business events, peak trading periods, promotions, and seasonal activities.
- Act as a technical point of contact for POS-related production support activities.
Required Experience:
- 6+ years of experience in Production/Application Support.
- Strong troubleshooting experience with Java-based applications and microservices.
- Experience analysing logs, distributed systems, and service dependencies.
- Knowledge of incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills.
