The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity for one of our key clients has arisen for an experienced Programme Planner to support a key programme at the Sellafield site. This role sits within a Project Controls function and plays a critical part in ensuring effective programme delivery across a complex nuclear project.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and manage integrated Primavera P6 schedules
  • Track progress and report performance against programme baselines
  • Identify critical path activities and support programme recovery planning
  • Review and challenge subcontractor programmes to ensure alignment
  • Carry out what-if analysis and forward forecasting
  • Support risk, cost, and earned value reporting
  • Produce programme reports and dashboards for internal and client stakeholders
  • Lead planning workshops and collaborate with delivery teams, suppliers and clients


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Planner / Programme Planner (3+ years)
  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6
  • Experience managing complex programmes with multiple dependencies
  • Understanding of earned value, cost control, and programme baselining
  • Ability to challenge stakeholders and influence programme outcomes
  • Nuclear experience preferred but not essential
  • Eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC) (BPSS initially acceptable)


Working Arrangements

  • Part-time role – (24 hours) per week
  • Hybrid working – ideally 1 day per week onsite/office in West Cumbria
  • Open to candidates outside the region but North West based, with travel as required
  • Occasional travel to supplier sites may be required
