erA strong Cost Engineer should demonstrate end-to-end ownership of programme cost management, including estimating, forecasting, cost control, and financial assurance within large-scale Defence or HMG programme

Experience supporting Full Business Cases (FBCs) and aligning cost models to HM Treasury Green Book principles, with clear evidence of linking cost to schedule, risk, and benefits. Hands-on experience with cost modelling, EVM (Earned Value Management), and financial forecasting, alongside integration with risk (QRA) and schedule (SRA) to provide cost-risk insigh
ts.
Experience operating in multi-supplier environments, understanding commercial constructs and cost drivers, and providing decision support to SROs and Programme Boa
rds.Should be confident in challenging assumptions, managing cost baselines and variances, and producing clear, accurate reporting to senior leadership and governance for
