We are looking to recruit a Project Engineer to be responsible for the production of technical engineering solutions for our clients. The solutions will include technical drawings, calculations, risk assessments and method statements. You will be required to gain knowledge and understanding of our substantial equipment stock and be able to select the most appropriate items for each project. Projects range from quicker, next day turnaround projects to longer multi-year projects


Key responsibilities:


  • Design and develop engineering solutions based on client’s heavy transport and installation requirements, both on site and in the engineering office, to include design, equipment allocation/procurement, programming and liaising with other departments within the business to ensure project execution
  • Develop and complete full comprehensive solutions including technical drawings, calculations, risk assessments and method statements
  • Use standard methodologies and develop new out of the box ideas
  • Produce design calculations and rigging studies to relevant standards
  • Produce RAMs documentation for approval prior to issue to clients
  • Determine the required resources for a project
  • Negotiation with clients on how the project is to be planned
  • Keep the administration up to date, i.e. project map, project safety file, project list
  • Ensure commercial efficiency is maximised throughout all projects
  • To deal with any queries or problems immediately in order to provide customer satisfaction
  • Actively promote and ensure implementation of Allelys’ safety, environment, engineering and temporary works procedures
  • Ensure within your designs, safety is considered throughout and remains the highest priority
  • To conduct the role within as directed by the company and within the guidelines outlined within the rules and policies


Skills & qualifications


  • Degree qualified Naval architecture, Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineer
  • Appointed person (AP) ticket holder (desirable)
  • HSEQ Qualification (desirable)
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles
  • AutoCAD 2D operation to a basic standard
  • Microsoft Office Suite operation to a basic standard
  • FEM/other modelling software (desirable)
  • Full Driving licence
  • Excellent verbal and written communication s
