✈️ About Ascent Flight Training

Ascent Flight Training is a joint venture between Lockheed Martin and Babcock International, responsible for delivering the UK Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS). We train the next generation of Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, and Army pilots, using advanced aircraft, simulators, and training systems.

Our teams work on exciting, high-profile programmes that keep UK Defence at the forefront of aviation training. You’ll be joining a supportive, forward-thinking organisation where your ideas and contribution matter from day one.

🚀 What You’ll Be Doing

Ever organised a group project, event, or trip? Then you’ve already used some project management skills!

As a Project Management Apprentice, you’ll learn how to:

• Plan and organise real projects from start to finish
• Work with different teams, customers, and partners
• Track progress, budgets, and timelines
• Solve problems and keep projects running smoothly
• Communicate with stakeholders and present ideas
  
  

You’ll gain experience across different areas of the business, working alongside experienced professionals who will mentor and support you.

🎓 Your Apprenticeship

You’ll be fully supported by Weston College while working towards:

• Apprenticeship Standard: Associate Project Manager (Level 4) – Skills England
• Start Date: December 2026 / January 2027 (exact date TBC)
• Duration: 18 months + 5 months End Point Assessment
• Delivery: 1 day every 2 weeks (online via MS Teams)

🎓 Entry Requirements

You’ll need a minimum of Level 3 qualifications, such as:

• A Levels (2 or more)
• BTEC Level 3 (Extended Diploma, Diploma, or Certificate)
• International Baccalaureate
• NVQ Level 3
• Other equivalent qualifications
