The Project Manager role at QUALCO UK is a full-time, hybrid position based in Weybridge, 3 days in the office and 2 at home. Please note that this position is not open to candidates requiring sponsorship.


Job Summary

The Project Manager role works in our Projects function within IT; The team establishes strong internal and external relationships to enable the successful delivery of innovative technology aligned to strategic goals.

The role would suit a motivated individual who is keen to develop a career in Project Management and has experience working in a client-facing Project Manager role. They will contribute to the growth of an SME technology business; working within the Collections & Recoveries sector of the Financial Services Industry. Our clients range from Utilities and Telecoms, Banks and other Credit Originators.

A core part of this role involves engaging and managing stakeholders at all levels—ensuring transparency, supporting decision‑making, identifying risks, raising impediments early, and ensuring that project objectives are clearly defined, prioritised, tracked and achieved. The Project Manager will also work closely with the Delivery Office to ensure project governance processes are adhered to and continuously improved.

Responsibilities

Reporting to Senior Project Manager, the Project Manager will:

  • Responsible for leading a variety of projects in the organisation, ranging from client onboarding, application development to change and process management. Support senior managers to deliver projects on time and in line with overall business requirements
  • Lead and deliver multiple projects end to end, including client onboarding, application enhancements, platform configuration, change initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Own project planning, delivery, and governance, ensuring all workstreams remain aligned with agreed scope, timelines, budget, and strategic business objectives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing clear, consistent communication and ensuring expectations are well‑managed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify, analyse, and manage project risks and dependencies, escalating appropriately and ensuring early visibility to senior stakeholders.
  • Gather and validate business, technical, and functional requirements, ensuring alignment with desired outcomes and supporting teams in translating requirements into actionable deliverables.
  • Coordinate project team activities, enabling effective prioritisation, smooth task execution, and removal of impediments to maintain delivery momentum.
  • Produce high‑quality project documentation and reporting, including RAID logs, action logs, delivery dashboards, project plans, status reports, and decision records.
  • Drive operational efficiency, identifying bottlenecks and implementing process improvements to support consistent, high‑quality project delivery.
  • Support organisational governance, ensuring compliance with internal frameworks, regulatory expectations, and ISO‑aligned quality standards.

Skills/experience:

Experience as a Project Manager or possess suitable skills. The ideal candidate will have an In-depth understanding of prevailing project management methods, with an ability to support and partner with other team members to solve business problems, determine priorities and necessitate the gathering of business requirements.

In collaboration with project stakeholders, the candidate should have the ability to identify and agree the resources and skills needed for the project(s). Determining if changes or new work processes are acceptable and thus able to create robust, trackable project plans that are aligned to project lifecycle and scope.

In addition, the following qualifications/skills are beneficial:

  • Proven experience working as a Project Manager, delivering technology or business change projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment on priorities, scope, and expected outcomes.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and resource‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability, with the ability to break down complex issues and support teams in identifying effective solutions.
  • Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to produce clear documentation, accurate status reports, and delivery updates.
  • High level of commercial awareness at a project level, with the ability to understand client and business needs and translate them into actionable project activities.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts, working closely with developers, analysts, and architects to ensure accurate delivery.
  • Demonstrated accountability, self‑motivation, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience managing project change, assessing impacts, and ensuring changes are controlled and communicated effectively.
  • Strong documentation skills, including producing RAID logs, dashboards, project plans, and governance artefacts.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards (27001, 9001, 14001) and compliance‑led project delivery is advantageous.
