SBG is looking for a Project Manager to join our team on a 12-month contract, with the potential for the role to become permanent.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering the strategic initiatives that support SBG's continued growth and success. As the business evolves, the scale and complexity of change across the organisation continues to increase, and you'll be at the heart of ensuring projects are delivered successfully and that expected business benefits are realised.
Working as part of the Strategy and Change team, you'll partner with stakeholders across the Group to manage a diverse portfolio of projects spanning areas such as data, pricing, operations, compliance and business transformation. Acting as a flexible resource, you'll be deployed where priorities and demand are greatest, helping to drive progress across a variety of business-critical initiatives.
You'll also play an important role in embedding SBG's refreshed change governance framework, promoting best practice project delivery and supporting the continued development of change management capabilities across the Group.

What you'll be responsible for:
- Deliver projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring successful outcomes and benefits realisation.
- Define project scope, requirements, timelines and budgets in partnership with stakeholders.
- Create and maintain project plans, adapting to changing business needs and priorities.
- Coordinate project resources and manage dependencies to support successful delivery.
- Monitor progress, risks and issues, taking proactive action to keep projects on track.
- Produce regular project updates and status reports to support governance and decision-making.
- Manage project budgets and track financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and ensure clear communication across all project teams.
- Ensure deliverables meet agreed quality standards and business requirements.
- Support the implementation of new processes, systems and change initiatives, including documentation and training materials.
- Promote project management best practice and contribute to the continuous improvement of change delivery across the Group.
- Deliver a broad range of projects across areas such as data, pricing, compliance and business transformation.
- Proven experience delivering complex projects and business change initiatives.
- Strong project management and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience delivering data, technology or transformation projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience managing project budgets, costs and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with project management tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Commercial awareness, with the ability to align delivery to business priorities.
- Knowledge of project governance, risk management and delivery best practice.
- Insurance or financial services experience is desirable but not essential.
- Hybrid working – 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home
