Property Mechanical Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the installation of plumbing, heating, and mechanical systems, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and on time.
  • Collaborate with subcontracted teams to manage and schedule maintenance work across all properties, adhering to a yearly maintenance plan.
  • Co-ordinate with various departments to arrange and oversee mechanical works in different properties.
  • Keep the Maintenance & Installations Manager informed about ongoing work.
  • Ensure compliance with gas safety regulations, overseeing certification and documentation processes.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for day-to-day queries and issues related to equipment, materials, methods, and procedures.
  • Manage inventory, ordering parts, and equipment as necessary, and oversee contractor work.
  • Respond to emergencies and unusual situations, utilising available skills and knowledge.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and provide cover during colleagues' absences.
  • To be on call/standby as & when required.
  • Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive experience in building maintenance and mechanical installations, including AHUs and FCUs.
  • City and Guilds Domestic Plumbing and Heating Levels 1, 2, and 3 qualifications.
  • Knowledge of gas appliances, gas safety regulations, and commercial gas qualifications (CoDNCO1, TPCP, ICPN1, CDGA1, CCCN1).
  • Proficiency with unvented systems, water regulations, and building codes.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Hold a full clean UK driving license.
