Full Stack Python/React Developer

Location: Glasgow – Fully Onsite

Contract: Inside IR35 | Duration: 6–12 months + possible extension

Role Overview

We’re seeking a Full Stack Developer with strong Python and React experience to join an engineering team developing scalable, cloud-based applications. The role involves backend services, modern UI development, APIs, and microservices within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and enhance full-stack applications using Python and React.js
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and microservices
• Create responsive, high-quality frontend experiences
• Work closely with Architecture, Product, QA and DevOps teams
• Improve application performance, reliability and security
• Contribute to code reviews, testing and technical improvements
• Investigate and resolve application or production issues
• Follow Agile/Scrum delivery practices

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Strong Python development with FastAPI, Flask or Django
• Solid React.js, JavaScript/ES6+, and TypeScript
• Experience with REST, microservices and OOP
• Good knowledge of SQL/database design
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server; MongoDB is a plus
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure or GCP
• Hands-on exposure to Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD
• Git-based development and version control

Desirable

• Banking/Financial Services experience
• Event-driven systems using Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools
• Automated testing with PyTest/Jest
• Experience working on enterprise-scale platforms
