Role : QA / Testing Specialist – ATM Integration & Migration Project

Onsite: 5 days a week

Location: Milton Keynes (Outside IR35 )

Contract duration: Until end of the year (with likely extension)

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on QA / Testing Specialist for a ATM Testing, Integration, and Migration

programme. As part of a dedicated team in a lean delivery model, you will be responsible for end-to

end test execution across multiple phases—from initial build and environment readiness to pilot

testing and rollout waves.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Strategy & Execution: Design, write, and execute functional, integration, and regression

test cases for ATM software, user interface (UI/UX), and backend transaction flows.

• Defect & Incident Triage: Identify, log, and track technical bugs/incidents during testing

phases; collaborate closely with the Technical BA and developers to drive fast resolution.

• ATM & API Testing: Validate end-to-end transaction journeys (cash deposit/withdrawal,

balance inquiry, etc.), host-to-ATM messaging, and backend API integrations.

• Migration Waves Support: Support test execution and validation across all rollout phases,

ensuring regression risk is minimized as new waves are deployed.

• Environment & Data Readiness: Work with solution/network leads to verify test environment

setup and prepare realistic test data for transaction scenarios.

Requirements

• QA Experience: Proven track record as a QA / Test Analyst in Banking, Payment Systems, or

Systems Integration projects (ATM, POS, or ISO 8583/20022 messaging experience is a strong

plus).

• Technical Testing Skills: Solid experience in API testing (REST/SOAP, Postman), backend

integration testing, and web/mobile or kiosk UI testing.

• Defect Management: Hands-on experience with defect tracking and test management tools

(Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, Azure DevOps, etc.).

• Agile Alignment: Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models and executing tests

based on user stories and technical requirements.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, detail-oriented, and ability to work efficiently in a lean,

fast-paced cross-functional team.
