As a Nursery Practitioner at Maxxi’s Nurseries, you will work as a vital member of our team to provide high-quality care, ensuring all children are kept safe while enjoying rich, stimulating play experiences.

Your daily impact will include:


Learning & Child Development
  • Deliver a Key Person Approach: Build strong, positive relationships with children and their families.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Observe, plan, and evaluate activities using the EYFS curriculum to help children reach their full potential.
  • Track & Report Progress: Maintain accurate records using formative and summative assessments, and conduct parent meetings to discuss development.
  • Support Transitions: Guide and support children as they transition to older rooms and primary schools.
Safeguarding & Wellbeing
  • Safety First: Ensure safeguarding and welfare requirements are strictly met at all times.
  • Inclusive Care: Identify and meet individual children's needs, including SEND, collaborating with external health professionals and area SENDCOs when required.
  • Health & Nutrition: Ensure children's nutritional needs are met in compliance with Food Safety Regulations.
Nursery Operations & Culture
  • Maintain Excellence: Share responsibility for the general cleanliness, hygiene, and safety of the classrooms, garden, and staffroom.
  • Policy Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, Health and Safety guidelines, and emergency/security procedures.
  • Teamwork & Mentorship: Act as a role model and mentor for new staff and apprentices.
  • Professional Growth: Live the company ethos daily and commit to continuous professional development and industry training.
Mandatory Qualifications
  • Early Years Education: Minimum of a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Educator (EYE) qualification, or an equivalent qualification.
  • First Aid: A valid Paediatric First Aid certificate.
  • Safeguarding: Completed safeguarding training.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Additional qualifications specifically in child development, special educational needs (SEN), or similar fields.
  • A valid Food Hygiene certificate.
  • Health and Safety training.
