Job Description

The Releasing Officer Team are a part of the wider Quality Assurance team at Rochester. Our role is to verify and certify a large range of specialised products that are installed on both military and civil platforms. You will have good exposure to the exciting equipment that we build and repair as well as gaining further skills within Quality Assurance. The role is a good introduction into quality and we actively develop Releasing Officers into Quality Assistants and Quality Engineers.

Core Duties

  • Ensuring that release activity is performed expediently
  • Producing and signing relevant release certification
  • Documenting and reporting any failures of product
  • Preparing failure reports coordinating release activities with customers
  • Coordinating activities with internal logistics
  • Contributing proactively to improvements

Essential Skills

  • Experience in an engineering or manufacturing background
  • Customer facing experience both internal and external and experience interpreting standards
  • Competent IT skills
  • Good communication skills
  • HNC or equivalent
  • Experience in Avionics
