Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Receptionist role based at Banning Dental & Skin Clinique in Kingston Upon Thames. The Receptionist will be responsible for welcoming patients, managing check-in and check-out procedures, and ensuring a smooth, positive experience from arrival to departure. Daily tasks include answering phone calls and emails, booking and updating appointments, maintaining accurate patient records, and handling payments and invoicing. The role also involves coordinating with clinical and administrative teams, managing the reception area to uphold cleanliness and professionalism, and supporting the implementation of practice policies and procedures. The Receptionist will contribute to a calm, friendly environment while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to high standards of customer service.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with patients and team members.
  • Proficiency in basic administrative tasks, including appointment scheduling, record-keeping, and handling payments and billing.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy clinical environment.
  • Competence with common office software and practice management systems, and willingness to learn new digital tools.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow clinical and administrative procedures accurately.
  • Previous experience in a receptionist, front-of-house, or customer-facing role, ideally in healthcare or a similar service-driven setting.
  • Professional, calm, and approachable demeanor, with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and service.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in administration, customer service, or healthcare support are beneficial.
