As the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional experience for everyone who visits our health centre. You will be responsible for greeting patients, organising clinic diaries, handling telephone enquiries, providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the reception area. *Potential Interview week commencing 31st August 2026* HCT will prioritise recruitment of workers living in England under the new immigration rules for care workers effective from 9 April 2025. Employers must first prove that they have attempted to recruit a worker from within England who needs new sponsorship. This ensures that those who came to the UK to pursue a career in adult social care can do so. Main duties of the job Applicants must have good organisational skills, a range of office skills and experience in working in reception/administration. Excellent customer service skills are essential, as you will have both face to face and telephone contact with service users on a daily basis. Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, a friendly approach and being enthusiastic are all required for this post. A knowledge of SystmOne would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided. A full valid driving licence and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010). In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of £1,192 per annum pro rata.
