Regional Director

Commercial Property

Stoke-on-Trent | Full Time | Permanent

Talbots Law is entering an exciting phase of growth across our Northern region, and we are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Commercial Property Solicitor to join us as a Regional Director.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you will shape regional strategy, drive performance, and inspire teams across multiple offices. You’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening and expanding our commercial property offering, while ensuring the consistent delivery of exceptional client service.

You’ll be joining a thriving and well-established team with a strong market presence across the West Midlands and surrounding areas. This is a unique opportunity to make your mark, influence the direction of the department, and play a key role in the continued success of our business services offering.

As one of the region’s largest independent law firms, Talbots offers the client base, infrastructure and cross-referral opportunities to grow an established practice. You’ll have genuine influence over strategy, people and future growth and share directly in the success you help create.

What does the job involve?

  • Leading and inspiring Commercial Property teams across the region, ensuring operational excellence and consistently high-quality client service
  • Driving regional performance and making strategic decisions in partnership with the Head of Department, including deputising where required
  • Providing expert oversight on complex commercial property transactions, offering technical guidance and supporting key decision-making
  • Accelerating growth by building strong networks, developing client relationships and actively contributing to new business initiatives
  • Ensuring robust compliance, risk management and the consistent application of best practice across all regional teams

What do you need?

  • Qualified Solicitor with extensive experience across a broad range of Commercial Property transactions and related matters
  • Demonstrable technical expertise covering the full spectrum of commercial real estate work
  • Proven experience in leading teams or managing a regional operation, with the ability to motivate and develop others
  • Excellent communication, drafting and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence to work autonomously, make strategic decisions, and support others on complex matters
  • Effective organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively, meet deadlines, and drive performance
  • A proactive, commercially focused mindset with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional client care
  • Well-established local client connections and networks, with the ability to leverage and grow these relationships
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, with the drive and vision to develop new and existing workstreams and identify opportunities for sustainable growth

What do we offer?

As an employee-owned firm, we want everyone to share in our success and feel supported throughout their career. We offer:

  • Competitive salary reviewed annually.
  • Annual tax-free profit share
  • Director Growth Share Scheme
  • Flexible and hybrid working options depending on the role and team.
  • 28 days annual leave including your birthday and an additional ex-gratia day, plus UK bank holidays and long-service awards.
  • Pension and protection including a 4% employer pension contribution and life assurance worth three times your annual salary.
  • Health and wellbeing support including enhanced sick pay, a Medicash Health Cash Plan and financial-wellbeing provision.
  • Employee savings and salary-sacrifice schemes alongside an annual contribution towards Talbots legal services.
