Regional Fostering Practice Development Lead | 10712 | Secondment Opportunity / Temporary Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2027| 37 hours per week | £50,166 to £54,277 per annum | Grade L | County Hall (travel will be required within the Eastern Region and you will be required to work occasional evenings and weekends with time back in lieu)
The Eastern Region Fostering hub a regional centre point to enable a more streamlined approach to fostering recruitment, with Authorities in the region working together to increase the number and diversity of foster carers to meet the needs of all children. We have ambitious plans to increase the number of Foster Carers to transform the lives and outcomes of children in care across the region.
The Key Features Of The Hub Are
To develop and implement a comprehensive practice development strategy aligned with the objectives of the Regional Fostering Hub, to drive the benefits of best practice fostering for local councils and which ultimately increases the number of new foster carers and the retention of existing carers across the Region.

- To boost the number of quality enquiries and build evidence of effective marketing strategies.
- Establish a pan-local authority approach to fostering recruitment.
To develop and implement a comprehensive practice development strategy aligned with the objectives of the Regional Fostering Hub, to drive the benefits of best practice fostering for local councils and which ultimately increases the number of new foster carers and the retention of existing carers across the Region.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Is a qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
- Has a successful track record of working alongside senior managers and partner organisations, delivering services.
- Has expert knowledge of Fostering Services in the UK
