Regional Sales Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Market Development
- Execute regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives to drive revenue growth and market expansion
- Identify, prioritise, and target potential customers, specifiers, architects, contractors, housing associations, local authorities, and installers.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase market penetration and expand market share across existing and emerging sectors.
- Explore and develop new market opportunities within the construction, retrofit, and social housing sectors.
Business Development & Relationship Management
- Build, develop, and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders across the construction industry.
- Engage with specifiers, architects, contractors, installers, local authorities, and housing associations to promote Soltherm solutions.
- Establish long-term partnerships that support sustainable business growth.
- Act as a credible ambassador for Soltherm within the market. Product Promotion & Technical Sales
- Present and demonstrate the features, benefits, and advantages of Soltherm External Insulations systems to prospective customers.
- Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Promote product performance, energy efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness through a consultative sales approach.
- Support customers through the full construction sales cycle from specification through to installation.
Budget Management & Commercial Performance
- Manage and achieve regional sales budgets and financial targets.
- Allocate resources effectively to maximise return on investment.
- Maintain strong commercial awareness, including margin management and profitability considerations.
- Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Customer Service Excellence
- Deliver a customer-centric approach throughout all sales activities.
- Ensure prompt responses to customer enquiries and concerns.
- Provide best-in-class customer service and support throughout the customer journey.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Working
- Work closely with marketing, technical, customer support, and other internal teams to ensure alignment of objectives and messaging.
- Support consistency in customer experience and brand representation.
- Share market intelligence and customer feedback to support wider business initiatives.
Sales Forecasting & Reporting
- Develop and maintain an accurate sales pipeline.
- Produce regular sales reports for Senior Management detailing: Performance against targets, Pipeline status, Market trends, Growth opportunities, Commercial risks and opportunities
- Provide recommendations based on market intelligence and performance analysis.
Industry Awareness & Market Intelligence
- Stay informed of industry developments, market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities.
- Monitor changes in building regulations, energy efficiency standards, sustainability requirements, and retrofit legislation.
- Share relevant market insights and adapt regional sales strategies accordingly.
Trade Shows, Events & Networking
- Represent Soltherm External Insulations at trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and networking events.
- Promote brand awareness and develop new business opportunities.
- Build industry relationships and maintain visibility within the market. Contract Negotiation
- Lead negotiations with key customers and stakeholders.
- Secure commercially sound agreements that support both customer requirements and company objectives.
- Manage long-term commercial relationships and contractual arrangements.
Continuous Improvement
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and best practice.
- Identify opportunities to enhance sales processes and operational efficiency.
- Share knowledge, market intelligence, and successful approaches across the wider business. Ethics & Compliance

Technical Knowledge:

- Strong understanding of the construction sales cycle from specification through to installation.
- Knowledge of external wall insulation systems or similar technical construction products.
- Ability to confidently deliver technical product presentations and demonstrations.
- Commercial awareness including budgeting, profitability, and margin management.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, pipeline management, sales forecasting, and reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of technical sales methodologies.
Desirable
- Knowledge of UK building regulations and compliance requirements.
- Understanding of energy efficiency standards and sustainability drivers.
- Knowledge of retrofit frameworks and PAS 2035.
- Experience within the external wall insulation (EWI), façade, building envelope, or retrofit sectors.
Qualifications & Certifications:
Essential
- Proven experience delivering regional sales strategies that achieve sustained revenue growth.
- Strong track record of successful market penetration and business development.
- Demonstrable success building relationships with: Specifiers and architects, Contractors and installers, Local authorities and housing associations
- Experience managing sales budgets and achieving financial targets.
- Experience negotiating commercial contracts and long-term agreements.
- Background in technical or construction product sales.
Desirable
- Experience within external wall insulation (EWI) or retrofit markets.
- Exposure to social housing and decarbonisation programmes.
- Established network within regional construction, housing, or retrofit sectors.
