Your Role as a Registered Manager (Learning Disabilities Children’s Homes)
You will lead and inspire a team to provide a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

You’ll be supported by a wider infrastructure including HR, QA, Psychology, Education, IT, Finance, and experienced Ofsted Registered Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team to deliver a supportive, structured environment
- Promote positive outcomes, confidence, and life skills
- Maintain a strong child-centred approach
- Drive performance and high-quality care standards
- Develop and review care plans
- Supervise, appraise, and develop staff
- Ensure compliance with legislation and Ofsted requirements
- Lead Ofsted registration and service setup
- Recruit, induct, and develop your team
- Work within multi-agency frameworks to advocate for young people
- Strive for outcomes that exceed expected standards
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Childcare
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or commitment to achieve within 2 years)
- At least two years’ experience in a residential childcare setting
- Strong knowledge of legislation, Ofsted standards, and regulations
- Experience completing risk assessments and producing clear reports
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, flexible approach with a focus on outcomes
- Strong experience supporting children with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and complex needs
- Experience (or readiness) to open and establish new services
- Ability to inspire aspirational outcomes for young people and staff teams
- Confidence to challenge, advocate, and drive high standards across internal and external partnerships
- A compassionate, approachable leadership style aligned to Progressive Care’s values
