As a Reliability Engineer at our Wyke site, you will play a critical role in improving asset reliability and plant performance. Working across engineering, maintenance, and operations, you’ll identify failures before they occur, lead root cause analysis, and deliver practical, high-impact reliability improvements across site.

This is a highly hands-on role combining field-based condition monitoring with data analysis, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact on an ageing plant environment.

How You’ll Help Us Grow

  • Develop and deliver reliability improvement initiatives and small CAPEX projects.
  • Own and enhance the site condition monitoring programme (vibration, oil analysis, thermography & ultrasound)
  • Analyse condition monitoring data and convert insights into actionable maintenance plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement through troubleshooting guides, SOPs, and defect elimination strategies.
  • Work closely with maintenance, planners, and operations teams to ensure corrective actions are executed effectively.
  • Optimise maintenance strategies / plans aligned to equipment condition.
  • Identify risks, including abnormal operating conditions and compliance considerations such as ATEX.

We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on engineer with a strong reliability mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.

You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience applying RCM or FMECA-based maintenance strategies in an industrial environment.
  • Vibration Analysis CAT I / CAT II certification, or demonstrable experience analysing vibration spectra
  • Strong hands-on experience with plant equipment such as pumps, motors, and gearboxes
  • Experience using CMMS and reliability systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Machine Sentry)
  • Ability to interpret condition monitoring data and translate it into effective maintenance actions.
  • A structured approach to root cause analysis and defect elimination
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

  • An engineering apprenticeship or degree in a relevant discipline
  • Broader experience across condition monitoring techniques (e.g. thermography, oil analysis, ultrasound , motion amplification)
  • A mindset focused on continuous improvement, accountability and collaborative working aligned to Nufarm’s RARE values.
