Reserving Lead - Lloyd's Market

Valayo are working with a growing Lloyd’s business that is looking to hire a Reserving Lead as it continues to build out its actuarial capability.

This is a role with genuine ownership. You’ll take the lead on the reserving process, develop the models and framework, produce and defend your own reserving views, and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business and externally.

Given the entrepreneurial nature of the business, the role is broader than reserving alone, with close interaction with underwriting and pricing, alongside exposure to capital and wider strategic projects.

There is significant scope for the position to grow in responsibility as the business scales.

We’re looking for a qualified actuary with strong Lloyd’s/London Market reserving experience, comfortable taking ownership and challenging senior stakeholders.
