Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Retail Sales Designer role based in Belfast. The Retail Sales Designer will welcome customers into the showroom, listen to their needs, and guide them through the full design and sales journey. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating kitchen and bedroom designs using Wren’s design software, planning layouts that optimize space and function, and presenting design concepts and quotations in a clear, engaging way. The role involves managing a personal sales pipeline, following up on leads, and providing accurate product and pricing information while maintaining high standards of customer care. The Retail Sales Designer will collaborate closely with showroom colleagues and operations teams to ensure timely orders, smooth installations, and an excellent customer experience from first visit to final sign-off.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability in Retail Design and Space Planning to create functional, aesthetically pleasing layouts that meet customer requirements.
- Experience or strong interest in Interior Design with an understanding of materials, finishes, and current trends in kitchens and bedrooms.
- Background in Retail environments, with proven customer-facing sales or consultation experience and a focus on service and relationship-building.
- Basic to intermediate Graphic Design or visual presentation skills to communicate concepts clearly through drawings, mood boards, or digital tools.
- Comfort using design and CRM or sales software, with the ability to learn Wren’s proprietary systems quickly.
- Strong communication, questioning, and active listening skills, with the ability to translate customer needs into tailored design solutions.
- Results-oriented approach with resilience, time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple customer projects simultaneously.
- Prior experience in kitchen, bedroom, or home improvement sales is beneficial but not essential; relevant training or qualifications in design, retail, or a related field are a plus.
