Job Summary

Rotational Clinical Pharmacist - 37.5 hours per week, permanent, based at George Eliot NHS Trust, College Street, Nuneaton. Responsibilities

Provide pharmacy service under supervision to wards and departments of the Trust and other partners to ensure safe and cost‑effective use of medicines. Carry out drug histories on admission, medication reviews, individual pharmaceutical care plans, therapeutic drug monitoring, patient education, and implement local and national guidelines. Act as an independent practitioner, challenging prescriptions when deemed inappropriate and communicating medicine‑related information to patients, relatives, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals. Prepare and monitor injections and infusions, including intravenous injections. Supervise dispensing activities to ensure compliance with statutory, ethical, and Good Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Practice (GPhP) standards. Provide Medicines Information to staff and patients within the Trust. Assist pharmacists in maintaining systems for control and storage of medicines according to legislation. Participate in continuing professional development (CPD), audits, operational tasks, and performance reviews. Engage in pharmacists’ rotational duties, extended hours service, and any additional duties as directed by the Chief Pharmacist. Qualifications

Qualified Registered Pharmacist. Commitment to continuing professional development and education. Sound knowledge base in clinical pharmacy. Vocational master’s degree in pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent. At least 1 year of pre‑registration training and experience. Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Organisational skills - prioritising and time management for day‑to‑day work. Ability to cope in stressful situations and under pressure. Basic IT skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Pre‑registration experience of 6 months or more in a hospital setting. Post‑registration experience in hospital, community, or GP practice. At least one year of post‑registration experience in either hospital, community, or GP practice. Benefits
