The Opportunity
As a result of our continued growth and expansion in the UK and Ireland, we are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Sales Account Manager to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded sales professional with a proven track record in new business development and consultative selling of capital equipment solutions. You will play a key role in identifying new opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, and driving revenue growth across key market sectors.

Responsibilities
- Develop and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts and new business opportunities within the assigned territory and market sectors.
- Achieve and exceed annual sales objectives, including customer engagement targets, enquiry generation, quotation activity, and order intake.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through proactive market development and networking activities.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process.
- Understand customer requirements and propose tailored packaging automation solutions that deliver measurable value.
- Collaborate with internal engineering and project teams to develop innovative solutions for technically demanding applications.
- Demonstrate creative, solution-focused thinking when addressing customer challenges and opportunities.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline management, and customer records using CRM systems.
- Represent Schubert professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and trade exhibitions.
Skills and Experience
- Degree qualification in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline. Or at least 10 years 'in role' experience.
- Proven success in new business development and account management within a technical or engineering-led sales environment.
- Significant experience selling value-added packaging machinery, automation solutions, or capital equipment into the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing sectors.
- Strong commercial acumen and a consultative sales approach.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK and Ireland.
- Eligibility to work within the UK and Ireland.
