The Opportunity

As a result of our continued growth and expansion in the UK and Ireland, we are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Sales Account Manager to join our team.


This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded sales professional with a proven track record in new business development and consultative selling of capital equipment solutions. You will play a key role in identifying new opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, and driving revenue growth across key market sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts and new business opportunities within the assigned territory and market sectors.
  • Achieve and exceed annual sales objectives, including customer engagement targets, enquiry generation, quotation activity, and order intake.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through proactive market development and networking activities.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process.
  • Understand customer requirements and propose tailored packaging automation solutions that deliver measurable value.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and project teams to develop innovative solutions for technically demanding applications.
  • Demonstrate creative, solution-focused thinking when addressing customer challenges and opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline management, and customer records using CRM systems.
  • Represent Schubert professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and trade exhibitions.


Skills and Experience


  • Degree qualification in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline. Or at least 10 years 'in role' experience.
  • Proven success in new business development and account management within a technical or engineering-led sales environment.
  • Significant experience selling value-added packaging machinery, automation solutions, or capital equipment into the food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or related manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a consultative sales approach.
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK and Ireland.
  • Eligibility to work within the UK and Ireland.
