About the Opportunity

One of our clients, a fast-growing SaaS company in the cloud data security and cyber resilience space, is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join their growing team.

This role is ideal for a highly driven sales professional who enjoys prospecting, qualifying opportunities, and building pipeline within Mid-Market and Large Enterprise accounts. As the first point of contact for prospective customers, you will play a critical role in driving new business growth and contributing directly to the company's sales success.


Key ResponsibilitiesNew Business Development
  • Identify, engage, and qualify prospective customers who are not currently using the company's solutions.
  • Generate qualified pipeline opportunities through strategic outbound prospecting activities.
  • Research target accounts and key decision-makers to develop effective outreach strategies.


Inbound Lead Qualification
  • Manage and qualify inbound inquiries generated through webinars, content downloads, events, and demo requests.
  • Assess prospect fit and business needs across Mid-Market and Large Enterprise segments.
  • Ensure high-quality opportunities are rapidly progressed to the sales team.


Account Outreach & Engagement
  • Execute targeted outreach campaigns tailored to different customer segments.
  • Leverage phone, email, LinkedIn, and sales engagement platforms to connect with prospects.
  • Navigate complex organizations and engage multiple stakeholders.


Discovery & Qualification
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand business challenges, current environments, and strategic priorities.
  • Identify pain points related to data security, backup, cyber resilience, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Clearly articulate business value and align solutions with customer needs.


Sales Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to develop territory plans and account strategies.
  • Schedule high-quality meetings and product demonstrations for the sales team.
  • Provide detailed prospect insights and qualification notes to support successful sales engagements.


CRM & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within Salesforce.
  • Track prospect interactions, activities, and pipeline progression.
  • Ensure data integrity and adherence to sales processes.


Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Sales Development Representative (SDR), Business Development Representative (BDR), or similar new business acquisition role.
  • Proven track record of generating and qualifying sales opportunities through outbound prospecting.
  • Experience engaging with Mid-Market and Enterprise-level organizations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage inbound lead flow while maintaining a consistent outbound prospecting cadence.
  • Confidence engaging with senior decision-makers and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.


Preferred Skills
  • Experience selling or supporting SaaS, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Data Protection, Backup, or Infrastructure solutions.
  • Ability to simplify and communicate technical concepts in business-oriented language.
  • Experience using:
  • Salesforce (SFDC)
  • Outreach or Salesloft
  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Strong research, discovery, and qualification capabilities.
