Salesforce Platform Lead

Leeds, England, United Kingdom Full-time Posted 3 days ago

We’re looking for an experienced Salesforce Platform Lead to take ownership of our Salesforce environment and shape how it evolves to better support our customers and colleagues. With deep Salesforce platform expertise and a strong background in technical leadership, you’ll drive our roadmap, maximise the value of the platform and help us deliver simpler, more effective services that make a real difference day to day.

We believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go so if you want to work for a company who are truly flexible and where you are valued then this could be the role for you!

What we’re all about

You might think of Yorkshire Housing as ‘just’ a housing provider, but we’re so much more than that. We own and manage nearly 20,000 homes across Yorkshire, helping people have a place they’re proud to call home - while making a positive difference in people’s lives.

We’ve got big ambitions: transforming our customer experience, building future-proof homes and empowering our people to do their best work. Technology is a key part of that journey, and Salesforce plays a big role in helping us get there.

Want to know more about your next challenge?

What will you be doing?

This is a key role at the heart of a major programme, with lots of change happening and plenty to get stuck into from day one. You’ll be hands-on across both project delivery and BAU, working alongside delivery partners and internal teams to understand where we are now and map out what’s needed to get the platform where we want it to be — while strengthening how it operates in line with best practice.

You’ll build strong, trusted relationships across the business, working with stakeholders at all levels to navigate priorities, shape solutions and keep things moving forward in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

You’ll stay close to the Salesforce roadmap and emerging innovations - making sure we’re making the most of the platform and staying ahead of the curve. You’ll balance big-picture thinking with day-to-day delivery, ensuring the platform continues to evolve while remaining stable, well-governed and delivering real value.

This is an Agile Homeworking role, but you’ll need to be able to travel into our Leeds workspace on occasion for team meetings, co-working and collaborative sessions.

In this role, you’ll also:

  • Own and communicate the Salesforce vision and roadmap, aligned to organisational priorities and customer outcomes
  • Act as the single point of accountability for the platform
  • Lead delivery, managing priorities, backlog and competing demands
  • Provide assurance that solutions meet technical, architectural and regulatory standards
  • Oversee BAU performance, including support, incidents and continuous improvement
  • Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary Salesforce team, fostering collaborative, agile ways of working

Already feel this is the role for you? There’s much more useful information you can read in the Role Profile!

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who takes real ownership, brings deep Salesforce expertise, and is motivated by making a positive difference for our customers and colleagues.

You’ll have experience leading a complex Salesforce platform, with the confidence to get into the detail, ask the right questions and challenge to get to better outcomes. You’ll be naturally curious, staying close to new developments and always looking for ways to improve how things work.

You’ll also be a strong and supportive leader, able to build trust, bring people together and create a team environment where people can do their best work. Comfortable working at pace, you’ll balance priorities, make decisions and make things happen in a changing environment.

We don’t expect you to tick every box, but you’ll bring a solid mix of technical credibility, leadership experience and a drive to achieve real impact.

It would be great if you also bring:

  • Experience owning a Salesforce platform in a complex environment
  • Strong technical understanding across design, development and integrations
  • A track record of leading teams and influencing stakeholders
  • Experience across delivery and BAU in a fast-moving setting

What’s in it for you…
