Security Engineer
Position Available: Security Engineer
Location: Oxfordshire (1 day per week in office)
Salary: £50,000 - £58,000
Experience needed: Experience within Cloud Security, Security Engineering, DevSecOps, or a similar environment. We're particularly interested in candidates who are passionate about building a career within cybersecurity and cloud security.
About our Team
We're looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to join our Security Engineering team, helping to build and support the tools and infrastructure that protect their cloud environment.
This is a hands-on role focused on AWS, Terraform, automation, and cloud security. You'll work closely with security, cloud, and software engineering teams to improve security, reliability, and resilience across a large-scale technology estate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform
- Develop and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Deploy and manage security tooling across cloud environments
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
- Work with engineering teams to embed security best practices
- Support incident investigation and troubleshooting
- Contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives
What we need from you:
- Experience working with AWS cloud environments
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience building or supporting CI/CD pipelines, ideally using GitHub Actions
- Knowledge of security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, or vulnerability management tools
- Scripting experience using Python, Shell, or similar languages
- Scripting experience using Python, Shell, or similar
- Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch or New Relic
- A genuine interest in cloud security and cybersecurity
