Senior Account Manager

About Hunterlodge

Hunterlodge Advertising is an award-winning, full-service marketing agency delivering integrated campaigns across Higher Education, Healthcare, Financial Services, Professional Services and B2B.

We bring together strategy, insight, creative, media, performance, AI, content and analytics to help our clients solve complex marketing challenges and deliver measurable growth.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Senior Account Manager to join our Client Services team and take a leading role across some of our key client relationships.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced agency professional who combines brilliant client management with strong commercial thinking and a genuine understanding of modern marketing.

You'll take ownership of a portfolio of integrated accounts, building trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and bringing together specialists from across Hunterlodge to deliver exceptional work.

This is a hands-on role. You'll be comfortable moving from a strategic client conversation to reviewing campaign performance, interrogating a media plan, shaping a brief or making sure a complex project stays firmly on track.

Most importantly, you'll understand what makes a great agency/client relationship: being proactive, challenging when necessary, commercially aware and relentlessly focused on delivering great work and measurable results.

What You'll Be DoingClient Leadership
  • Take day-to-day ownership of a portfolio of key client relationships.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client's organisation, objectives, audiences and commercial priorities.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, campaign reviews and planning sessions.
  • Be proactive in identifying challenges, opportunities and areas where Hunterlodge can add further value.
  • Provide strategic counsel rather than simply responding to briefs.
  • Maintain exceptionally high standards of client service.

Integrated Campaign Leadership
  • Lead integrated campaigns from initial brief and strategy through to delivery, optimisation and evaluation.
  • Bring together our Strategy, Media, Performance, Creative, AI Visibility, Content and Analytics specialists around the client's objectives.
  • Ensure briefs are clear, strategically focused and actionable.
  • Review strategies, campaign plans, budgets and timelines before they reach the client.
  • Maintain oversight of campaign performance and challenge teams to continually improve results.
  • Ensure every campaign remains focused on agreed KPIs and measurable client outcomes.
  • Anticipate potential issues and take ownership of resolving them quickly.

Performance & Insight
  • Understand the performance of your accounts and confidently discuss results with clients.
  • Turn campaign data and reporting into clear insights, recommendations and actions.
  • Ask the right questions of our media and performance specialists.
  • Identify trends, opportunities and areas for optimisation.
  • Lead campaign reviews and contribute to strategic planning sessions and client workshops.
  • Ensure learning from one campaign continually improves the next.

Project & Team Leadership
  • Manage multiple client workstreams, campaigns and priorities simultaneously.
  • Coordinate specialist teams and ensure everyone understands the client's priorities.
  • Produce clear briefs, scopes, timelines and actions.
  • Manage dependencies, approvals and resources effectively.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail across everything we deliver.
  • Support and help develop more junior members of the Client Services team.

Commercial Management & Growth
  • Take commercial responsibility for your accounts, including budgets, forecasting and profitability.
  • Ensure work is appropriately scoped and delivered efficiently.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships.
  • Develop proposals, estimates and scopes of work.
  • Work with senior agency leadership to develop account growth plans.
  • Contribute to new business pitches and agency initiatives.

What We're Looking For

You'll ideally have:

  • 5+ years' agency experience, including significant experience managing complex client accounts.
  • Proven experience delivering integrated marketing and media campaigns.
  • Excellent client relationship skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of digital and paid media.
  • The ability to interrogate campaign performance and translate data into meaningful recommendations.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience managing account budgets.
  • Confidence presenting strategies, recommendations and campaign performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving agency environment.
  • A proactive mindset – spotting opportunities and solving problems before being asked.

Useful Experience

Experience in any of the following would be particularly valuable:

  • Higher Education, Healthcare, Financial Services, Professional Services or B2B marketing.
  • Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok and programmatic media.
  • GA4, Looker Studio and campaign reporting.
  • AI-powered marketing tools and workflows.
  • SEO and AI Visibility.
  • Integrated creative and media campaigns.

You don't need to be the person physically building campaigns in every platform. What matters is that you understand modern media and marketing well enough to challenge, question and collaborate effectively with our specialists – and explain recommendations confidently to clients.

Why Hunterlodge?

You'll join an ambitious, independent agency with a highly experienced team and a diverse portfolio of nationally recognised clients.

You'll have the opportunity to work across genuinely integrated campaigns, bringing together strategy, insight, media, performance, AI, creative, content and analytics rather than operating within a single discipline.

We invest heavily in our people, their development and the tools they need to do brilliant work. You'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on your clients, help shape the future of their accounts and play an important role in Hunterlodge's continued growth.

And ultimately, we're building an agency that continually strives to be the best agency you've ever worked with.
