Kingsley Napley is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to lead business development and marketing activity for our Dispute Resolution, Criminal Litigation, Regulatory and Public Law practices. This is a senior, high profile role supporting market leading teams.


You’ll act as a trusted adviser to partners and firm leadership, shaping strategy, driving growth initiatives and leading a talented BD & Marketing team in a fast paced, often time critical environment.


What you’ll do


  • Lead and deliver integrated BD & marketing strategies aligned to firmwide priorities
  • Advise partners on commercial planning, go to market strategy and opportunities
  • Line manage and develop three BDM Managers
  • Oversee major pitches, panels, credentials, directories, and awards submissions
  • Provide senior input into campaigns working closely with the central marketing team
  • Use market insight, data and client feedback to influence strategy and decision making


What we’re looking for


  • Significant BD & marketing experience within legal preferred
  • Proven leadership and line management experience
  • Confidence operating at senior partner level as both strategist and delivery lead
  • Strong commercial, project management and communication skills
  • Calm, resilient and credible in high pressure situations
