This a great opportunity to join our market-leading Claims team where you will be responsible for delivering high-quality management information, performance insight, and analytical support.
Description
The Senior Claims MI Analyst will be responsible for delivering high-quality management information, performance insight, and analytical support across the Claims Team. The role will provide timely, accurate, and actionable analysis to support strategic decision-making, operational performance improvement, claims governance, and financial control.
The successful candidate will work closely with Claims Leaders, Underwriting, Data, and Delegated Authority functions; they will transform complex claims data into meaningful business insight, enabling the organisation to effectively manage claims performance, indemnity spend, reserving trends, service delivery, and customer outcomes.
The role will play a key part in maintaining and building upon, reporting frameworks, enhancing data quality, supporting operational change initiatives, and driving a data-led culture across the Claims function.
Management Information and Reporting
- Maintain claims MI reporting suites, dashboards, and performance scorecards, as well as the production of regular and ad-hoc MI packs for Claims Leadership, and Board reporting.
- Maintain and where appropriate, develop meaningful KPIs and operational performance measures.
- Maintain reporting standards, documentation, and governance controls.
Performance and Operational Insight
- Analyse claims performance trends, identifying opportunities, risks, and emerging issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis on service, cost, and operational performance.
- Monitor and report on:
- Claim volumes
- Claims lifecycle performance
- Reserve movements
- Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Delegated authority claims performance
- Identify trends that may impact operational capacity, customer outcomes, or financial exposure.
Delegated Authority and Bordereaux Analysis
- Support oversight and performance monitoring of Coverholders, TPAs, and delegated claims arrangements.
- Analyse bordereaux data for claims trends, anomalies, and data quality issues.
- Support governance and reporting requirements relating to delegated claims management.
Data Quality and Governance
- Drive improvements in claims data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Investigate and resolve reporting discrepancies.
- Support implementation of data governance standards.
- Ensure compliance with Lloyd's market reporting requirements and internal governance controls.
Continuous Improvement and Change
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve MI processes.
- Support claims transformation and operational improvement initiatives.
- Drive adoption of data-led decision making across the Claims team
Skills required
Essential
- Experience in MI, business intelligence, analytics, or performance reporting within insurance claims.
- Strong understanding of specialty and commercial insurance claims.
- Basic SQL – or similar language – skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with Power BI, or equivalent visualisation tools.
- Experience analysing large and complex datasets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate technical findings into commercial recommendations.
Desirable
- Experience working in the Lloyd's of London or London Market environment.
- Experience working with Lloyd's market systems and data structures.
- Knowledge of Delegated Authority and Coverholder arrangements.
- Experience with data warehousing and data modelling.
- Knowledge of London Market claims processes and ECF workflows.
- Experience of Claims Management Systems, such as DOCOsoft
