Senior Commercial Property Manager/Surveyor

Working as part of Bidwells' market-leading Investment & Property Management team, you will help oversee a dynamic estate of cutting-edge laboratory, research and innovation facilities that are home to world-class science and technology businesses. Partnering closely with clients, occupiers, facilities teams and industry specialists, you will play a central role in creating an exceptional environment where pioneering organisations can thrive.
From cultivating strong occupier relationships and driving operational excellence to supporting sustainability initiatives and future development opportunities, this role offers far more than traditional property management. Please note this role will be based on site at Granta Park in Great Abington, South of Cambridge!
What you’ll be doing
- Manage a portfolio of high-profile laboratory and innovation buildings at Granta Park.
- Build strong client and occupier relationships, delivering an outstanding tenant experience.
- Oversee service charges, budgets, compliance and financial performance in line with RICS best practice.
- Lead inspections, maintenance programmes and contractor management.
- Champion sustainability, health & safety and operational excellence.
- Support lease renewals, rent reviews and asset management initiatives.
- Collaborate with industry-leading property, facilities and consultancy teams.
About You
- Demonstrable knowledge of managing commercial service charges in accordance with the RICS code of practice
- Proven property management experience, including a good working knowledge of leases and relevant H&S legislation as it effects commercial premises
- Confidence to deal directly with Clients to gain their inherent trust and confidence in your advice
- Demonstrable technical knowledge of Landlord and Tenant legislation and regulations relating to the management of commercial property
- Familiarity with property management database systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to co-ordinate other individuals and service providers
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Computer literate, at least basic level in Microsoft Excel and Word and PowerPoint
- High level of numeracy, logical mind and attention to detail
