Senior Funds Counsel - £650-800 per day
Leading name in the professional & financial services industry is looking for a Funds Counsel to join for an initial six month period with the possibility of the role turning permanent. Hybrid arrangement with two days per week required at the Central London offices.
The day to day remit is as follows:
* Provide legal guidance on the structuring, formation, and ongoing management of UK and cross-border investment funds and related investment vehicles.
* Advise on relevant UK regulatory frameworks, including the FCA Handbook and the UK AIFM regime, working closely with the Compliance and Risk teams.
* Prepare, review, and negotiate fund documentation, including constitutional documents, investment management agreements, and service provider contracts.
* Negotiate investment management agreements and other client-related contractual arrangements.
* Assist with fund and investment governance activities, including the preparation of committee papers and regulatory submissions.
The successful candidate will have at least five years' PQE (although applications from all levels will be considered - the more experience, the better). You will have a sound knowledge and extensive experience of advising on funds matters, particularly in relation to private equity and hedge funds. You should also possess an expert knowledge of the asset management industry and its wider regulatory environment.
You must be available to start either immediately or on short notice (maximum 1 month)
