Senior Legal Technologist

We are seeking a dynamic, commercially minded and technically capable Senior Legal Technologist to join the Practice Innovation pillar within the Innovation & Legal Technology team. The successful candidate will help drive the effective use, evaluation and future of the firm’s internal legal technology tool stack, with a particular focus on supporting lawyers to adopt the right tools for the right use cases.


What You'll Do:


  • Monitoring the legal tech market, tracking competitor offerings, emerging products and Generative AI developments relevant to the firm’s existing and future tool stack.
  • Benchmarking and evaluating new and existing tools, assessing their performance across relevant legal tasks, workflows and use cases.
  • Testing out new use cases or solutions on existing technologies to understand capabilities and communicate this back to teams
  • Tracking and reporting on ROI, adoption and value realisation for tools within the firm’s technology stack.
  • Maintaining a centralised view of tool features, differentiators and areas of overlap across the firm’s stack and the wider market.


Who We're Looking For:


  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent education or experience.
  • Significant relevant experience in legal technology, innovation or technology-enabled change within a law firm or professional services environment or wider e.g. at a legal tech company or similar?
  • Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to understand, assess and explain legal technology tools and their practical application.
  • Experience of evaluating legal technology products, supporting trials or rollouts, and comparing tool functionality against business needs.
  • Power Platform expertise, including a strong understanding of how Microsoft-based tools can be used to support workflow, reporting and internal solutions.
