The role:
My client are looking for a Senior Linux Engineer to join their team.
You will work on cutting edge, low latency, highly optimised Linux Compute environments which serve as the backbone of Trading Infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Managing large scale Linux environments
- Platform standardisation, automation, testing and monitoring
- Adhering to best practices for source control, testing, CI/CD and configuration management
- Working with petabyte scale storage systems
- Automating the estate wherever possible
Core skills required:
- Extensive experience working in Linux environments
- Configuration Management – Ansible / Chef
- Storage – NGS / GPFS / WEKA etc.
- Python
- Observability – ELK / Prometheus / Grafana / VictoriaMetrics etc.
- Cloud experience useful – AWS / GCP
