Senior Maintenance and Inspection Engineer

PBS (Semco UK) are looking for a Senior Maintenance and Inspection Engineer to join the team on a full-time permanent basis. This role will be responsible for leading, delivering and being responsible for maintenance, inspection, CMMS and master data requirements are defined, developed, validated and implemented.

Details/duties

  • Lead MIEC activity for assigned projects, ensuring maintenance, inspection and CMMS requirements are captured accurately from project definition through to closeout.
  • Chair or support MIEC kick-off meetings, confirming scope, data availability, data gaps, CMMS requirements, milestones and go-live expectations.
  • Develop and manage MIEC data inputs and CMMS templates, including functional locations, equipment, technical objects, object links, SAP/CMMS documents, routes, standard texts, task lists, maintenance plans, measuring points and measurement documentation.
  • Review engineering information, operator requirements, OEM documentation and vendor data to define maintenance, inspection, sparing and CMMS impacts for new, modified and minor MIEC scopes.
  • Develop, review and optimise maintenance and inspection strategies, including minimum maintenance templates, task structures, frequencies, assurance requirements and SECE-related maintenance data.
  • Undertake QA/QC of MIEC data templates and forms prior to MDCR submission, ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance and readiness for CMMS test or production upload.
  • Prepare MDCRs and associated technical substantiation for review and approval by the relevant Methods & Reliability asset team.
  • Coordinate with Engineering & Construction, Methods & Reliability, CMMS, operations, asset teams, OEMs and vendors to resolve data gaps, technical queries, load errors and implementation issues.
  • Support CMMS test upload, production upload readiness and implementation assurance to confirm approved data is suitable for operational use.

Qualifications/Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent experience in Engineering, Maintenance, Reliability, Asset Management or a related discipline.
  • Experience in maintenance engineering, methods engineering, CMMS master data, inspection engineering or project handover within an operations, asset or engineering environment.
  • Experience developing or reviewing maintenance plans, task lists, equipment data, BOMs, standard texts and related CMMS data requirements.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance and inspection engineering principles, asset lifecycle management, preventive maintenance and CMMS master data governance.
  • Knowledge of MIEC project execution, including project definition, engineering phase support, MDCR development, project execution, production CMMS upload, closeout and document management handover.
  • Ability to interpret engineering data, operator standards, performance standards, OEM documentation, vendor information and maintenance strategy requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical writing skills, with the ability to produce accurate, auditable maintenance and CMMS outputs.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across engineering, maintenance, reliability, operations, CMMS and client teams
