What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading on complex assessments
  • Providing expert advice on adaptations and equipment
  • Supporting and mentoring Occupational Therapists and colleagues
  • Championing strengths-based practice and innovative solutions
  • Collaborating with health professionals, housing partners, and community services
  • Influencing service development and continuous improvement

About The Role

Pay Details: Grade 9 SCP 31-35 £41,771-£46,142

Hours of Work: 27

Working Pattern: To be agreed

Main Place of Work: Civic Offices, Barry

You’ll use your expertise to empower individuals to live independently, safely, and with dignity in their own homes and communities. From complex moving and handling assessments to major adaptations and specialist equipment provision, you will drive high-quality, person-centred interventions

About You

What We’re Looking For

  • HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
  • Significant post-qualification experience within social care
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act)
  • Confidence managing complex cases and risk assessments
  • A natural leader with excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • Passion for enabling independence and improving outcomes
