Senior Operations Specialist
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Regulatory Transaction Reporting Change Specialist to work for our client within the Investment Management sector. This is initially a 6‑month contract with very strong prospects for extension and will be a hybrid role based in London.
Our client is seeking an experienced regulatory reporting specialist to support global reporting obligations across multiple jurisdictions, with a particular focus on post‑diagnostic remediation, control enhancements, and regulatory change delivery. This opportunity sits within a high-performing global Operations team and will play a key role in strengthening oversight, resolving reconciliation breaks, and shaping future reporting processes across EMIR, MiFID, SFTR, MAS, ASIC, and related regimes.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as an SME for global regulatory transaction reporting across EMIR (UK & EU), MiFID/MiFID PTTR, SFTR, MAS, and ASIC
- Lead post‑diagnostic testing, analysis, and remediation activities using JIRA, ensuring findings are correctly understood, validated, and driven to closure
- Work closely with Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit to resolve reporting issues and enhance control frameworks
- Oversee reconciliation break backlogs and partner with global teams (London, Mumbai, Boston) to implement sustainable solutions
- Support ongoing regulatory change initiatives, including enhanced testing processes, system updates, and documentation improvements
About You
- Strong background in Regulatory Transaction Reporting within investment management or a similar buy‑side organisation
- Hands-on experience with EMIR, MiFID II/MiFIR, SFTR, MAS, and ASIC reporting regimes (SFTR experience highly desirable)
- Proficient in SQL and general data analysis, with the ability to interpret complex reporting requirements
- Comfortable working with workflow tools such as JIRA and partnering with cross‑functional teams across multiple regions
- Proven experience in regulatory change, post‑trade controls, issue resolution, and remediation activity
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in regulatory reporting, operations, or regulatory change within financial services, ideally asset management
