About The Role
Marston Holdings is seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional with strong end-to-end payroll experience to support the delivery of accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services across multiple Marston Holdings entities.

Working as part of a dedicated payroll team, you will play a key role in ensuring weekly and monthly payrolls are processed efficiently while maintaining compliance with HMRC legislation, company policies, and statutory requirements.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Payroll Administrator, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the payroll team in the delivery of weekly and monthly payrolls.
- Processing new starters, leavers, statutory payments, and termination payments.
- Preparing, analysing, and validating payroll reports and pay data prior to payroll completion.
- Processing pay allowances and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Administering salary sacrifice schemes, including:
- Cycle to Work
- Green Car Scheme
- Holiday Purchase Scheme
- Childcare Voucher arrangements
- Processing statutory payments, including SMP, SPP, SAP, and other statutory entitlements.
- Managing payroll amendments received from HMRC.
- Inputting and validating variable pay data, including overtime and commission payments.
- Reconciling payroll reports and supporting BACS payment processes.
- Managing employee access to self-service payroll systems and responding to payroll-related enquiries.
- Supporting payroll administration and maintaining accurate employee records.
- Assisting with annual P11D processes.
- Ensuring compliance with payroll, pension, and employment legislation, as well as Marston Holdings policies and procedures.
- Keeping up to date with legislative changes affecting payroll.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- A minimum of 5 years' solid end-to-end payroll experience.
- Extensive experience using the PeopleXD (CoreHR) payroll system.
- Experience working within a medium to large workforce environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and procedures.
- Experience managing payroll complexities associated with TUPE transfers, including sick pay schemes and enhanced benefits.
- Strong manual payroll calculation skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High levels of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
- Relevant payroll qualifications or professional development would be advantageous.
