As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in developing and managing project programmes throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with planning and project teams to integrate schedules, simplify complex programme information and provide clear, effective reporting. From developing schedules from first principles through to maintaining and reporting on live programmes, you will bring technical expertise, innovation and collaboration to deliver high-quality outputs and support successful project delivery. Responsibilities
- Working collaboratively with the planning team to develop, integrate and maintain project schedules and reporting.
- Developing and managing P6 project programmes across all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Preparing, updating and maintaining detailed programmes, ensuring they accurately reflect project scope, progress, resources and key milestones.
- Developing and managing baseline programmes, ensuring changes are captured and controlled throughout the project lifecycle.
- Integrating multiple schedules and workstreams into an overall project or programme schedule.
- Simplifying complex and detailed programmes into clear, concise and meaningful reports for clients and senior stakeholders.
- Undertaking programme analysis, identifying critical and near-critical activities, key interfaces, float, constraints and potential impacts to project delivery.
- Monitoring progress against the approved baseline, identifying slippage and emerging risks, and working with project teams to develop mitigation and recovery strategies.
- Supporting time impact analysis, change management and delay analysis where required.
- Producing high-quality programme and project controls reports, including progress updates, look-ahead programmes, critical path analysis and schedule performance information.
- Working closely with Project Managers, Project Controls, Commercial and wider delivery teams to ensure programme information is accurate, coordinated and aligned with project objectives.
- Ensuring programme data is maintained accurately and consistently within Primavera P6 and other relevant project controls systems.
- Building and maintaining long-lasting client relationships, providing a "best in class" service and acting as a trusted planning advisor.
- Demonstrating innovation, collaboration and technical excellence to ensure efficient delivery and exemplary quality outputs across schedules, reporting and wider project controls activities.

- Member of a relevant professional body with chartered status (or working towards this) and/or educated to degree level.
- Ability to communicate the programme to stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience of schedule integration on large multidisciplinary projects.
- Knowledge of/experience in the UK infrastructure projects
- Experience of NEC Contracts
- Experience of using Primavera P6 and PowerBI
- Relevant experience in the successful scheduling of engineering projects.
- Knowledge of railway investment planning systems.
- Experience of using a number of project management scheduling tools & techniques
- Knowledge of Schedule assurance processes
