A fixed term role of up to eighteen months to support Ascent in its implementation of a new value stream-based reporting structure to run parallel to the existing accounting environment.

Day to day

You will be responsible for:

• Day to day management of the Finance elements of the value streams project and co-ordination with the rest of the business.
• Design and implementation of new finance processes and reporting to support new value streams structure.
• Implementing changes required to finance IT systems to support value streams reporting.
• Automation of reconciliations to existing financial information including long-term contract models, management accounts and budgets and forecasts.
• Preparation of the Budget on value streams basis.
• Training finance and non-finance teams on the new reporting structure.

• Strong Project Management skills
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft excel and knowledge of reporting and extraction tools
• Understand how management information is prepared from underlying financial systems and able to design, manage and improve processes for its extraction and reconciliation
• Good understanding of financial reporting under UK GAAP
• Maintains effective relationships with stakeholders
• Understanding of how an effective financial control environment works and how to structure appropriate new controls
