Senior Project Manager

Our London team is growing, and we're looking for a Senior Project Manager who can take real ownership of complex commercial workplace projects from the early stages right through to completion.

This is a senior, client-facing delivery role for someone who knows how to lead projects properly (commercially, operationally and on site) while bringing design, construction, consultants, subcontractors and clients together around one clear outcome.

You won't be sitting on the sidelines coordinating from a distance.

You'll be at the centre of the project.

Why you're here

• You'll lead large and complex workplace projects from planning and pre-construction through delivery, handover and close-out.
• You'll be the person clients trust, the person the project team looks to when decisions need to be made, and the person making sure programme, cost, quality and experience all stay where they need to be.
• You'll work closely with our Design, Construction and Commercial teams, using Unispace's integrated model to solve problems earlier, move faster and deliver better outcomes for our clients.

What you'll be doing

You'll take full ownership of your projects, including:

• Leading projects from initial planning through construction and close-out
• Acting as the primary client contact and building strong, trusted relationships
• Managing programme, budget, procurement, risk and project financials
• Leading client, consultant and stakeholder meetings
• Managing subcontractors and vendors and holding delivery partners accountable
• Working closely with Site Managers to resolve issues and maintain quality on site
• Coordinating closely with Design and Engineering to ensure what we design is commercially viable and buildable
• Driving forecasting, cost control and transparent financial reporting
• Mentoring more junior members of the Delivery team and helping raise the standard across the wider business

What we're looking for

You'll already have a strong track record delivering complex projects within commercial construction, workplace or design & build.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• 10+ years' project management experience within design and construction
• Strong commercial workplace / office fit-out experience
• Proven end-to-end delivery of sizeable, complex projects
• Confidence owning senior client relationships
• Strong subcontractor and trade management experience
• Excellent understanding of construction methodology, programme and buildability
• Strong financial capability across budgets, forecasting, variations and cost control
• The ability to stay calm, commercially minded and solutions-focused when projects get difficult
