We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to work within a forward thinking trust that puts quality at the heart of all we do!

The post holder will play a central role in the delivery of the trust’s quality, governance and continuous improvement programmes. This role requires individuals who are driven, ambitious and passionate about the provision of high quality, safe and effective care with a desire to influence and work in partnership with clinical and managerial staff.

The post holder has a fundamental role within an associated directorate, acting as the main relationship and communication link between services and trust Board. They will provide assurance to the trust Board for their allocated directorate(s) by leading on the delivery of and implementation of the directorates Improving Lives Programme.

The post holder will triangulate and monitor both internal and external intelligence information, including analysing complex data across patient safety, clinical effectiveness, patient experience, and workforce culture ensuring shared learning is embedded and that improvements made are sustainable.

This is a senior leadership role, suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, can work collaboratively with clinical teams, and is confident presenting highly complex or sensitive information to senior stakeholders.

  • Lead the delivery and implementation of the Improving Lives annual programme for your directorate(s).
  • Provide assurance to the Trust Board by analysing complex performance, compliance, and quality data.
  • Facilitate pre‑CQC assurance reviews and support directorates with inspection preparedness.
  • Oversee CQC Must & Should Do actions and monitor directorate compliance with Quality Statements.
  • Champion quality improvement and support operational teams to identify, plan, and evaluate improvement initiatives.
  • Analyse incident, complaint, audit, and patient experience trends, ensuring that learning is shared and improvements sustained.
  • Lead the use of quality control dashboards and performance monitoring within your directorate(s).
  • Build strong relationships across directorates, fostering a culture of safety, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the Quality Management Team at Performance & Quality Assurance Meetings (PQAM).
  • Provide expert advice on quality governance, assurance processes, and Quality Impact Assessments (QIAs).
  • Contribute to Trust‑wide strategic development of quality, governance, and service improvement.
